  	Clara Elizabeth (Mabee) Hobgood June 12, 1910 –. Passed away peacefully in her sleep, in her 102nd year at Cedarwood Village, Simcoe. She was a lifelong resident of Langton. Daughter of the late Blanche & Aquilla Mabee. Wife of the late Eugene (Hop) Hobgood, (Feb. 14, 1974). Loving mother of her daughter Blanche (Lew) Boughner, and son Bernie (Lesley) Hobgood. Proud grandmother of Gary (Liz) Boughner, Loree (Rick) VanDeMaele, Kathy (Tom) Stanley, David (Renee) Boughner, Michael (Julie) Hobgood, Christopher (Laura) Hobgood & Jamie (Josie) Hobgood. Great-grandmother to 16 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Clara was part of a five generation family. Predeceased by brother Leo (Mabel) Mabee & Wallace (Esther) Mabee, also sister-in-law Billie (Jack) Allan. Clara was the pianist & organist for many years at the Langton Baptist Church. She was a Life Member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Long Point Chapter #166. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Verhoeve Funeral Home, Langton. Visitation Tuesday, January 10th, 2012, 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to service at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Keith Sutherland officiating. Interment to follow at Tillsonburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations (by cheque) through the Verhoeve Funeral Home, Langton (519)875-4464, to Langton Baptist Church or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
