- Norma Todd Mabey passed away on April 29, 2014 at age ninety-one.
Born in Kanab, Utah on July 11, 1922 to Douglas M. Todd, Jr. and Margaret Burton, she was the fifth of nine children.
She graduated from East High School in Denver, Colorado and attended BYU, where she met her husband Walker Pack Mabey. They were married on June 25, 1941 in the Salt Lake Temple.
She served in many church callings, including Ward Primary President, Stake Primary Presidency, and Stake Relief Society President. She spent many years as Stake Director of the Family Records Extraction Program. She served in the Salt Lake Temple and Bountiful Temple for ten years.
Widowed at age forty-three, she raised seven children. She worked for Bountiful State Bank, Zions Bank, and Bountiful City. Her hands were never idle and she always had a project going. Weddings and babies made her happy and there was always a handmade gift.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walker, and leaves behind a caring family. Children-Margaret (Jaren) Vowles, Kent (Joyce) Mabey, Thomas (Diane) Mabey, Ruth (Ronald) Wise, Fred (Jeri) Mabey, Clark (Annette) Mabey, and Scott Mabey. She had thirty-six grandchildren and seventy-seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Florence Britsch, Alice Braithwaite, Beth Snow, Burton Todd, Elaine Page, Ira Todd, and Robert Todd, and survived by her brother, Byron Todd of Norcross, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014 in the Bountiful Tabernacle, 51 South Main Street. Friends and family may call on Friday, May 2, 2014 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, and prior to the services at the church on Saturday from 10:00-10:45 a.m.
