  Witness-Obituary	Lorne Albert Finlay McIntyre (1903-1966), Educator, born at Winnipeg on 10 October 1903, son of John F. McIntyre and Minnie Ann Mabee (1863-1935), and nephew of D. L. McIntyre and P. C. McIntyre. He received early education locally and earned a degrees from the University of Manitoba (BEd) and Brandon College (BA), and took graduate English studies at Harvard University (AM). On 30 August 1930, he married Mabel Agnes Patterson Buchanan Craig (1905-1969) at Winnipeg. The couple had no children. He taught at the Moose Jaw College Boy's School and St. James Collegiate in the 1920s and held sessional appointments at the University of Manitoba before joining the Winnipeg School Division as an English specialist. He worked at Robert H. Smith School(1934-1936) and Kelvin Technical High School(1936-1953), served as Vice-Principal of Aberdeen School(1953-1955) and St. John's Technical High School(1955-1957), and Principal of Isaac Newton Junior High School(1957-1966). He was an executive member of the North End YMCA, Welfare Planning Board, Little Theatre, Children's Theatre, Broadway First Baptist Church(Council Chairman), and sat on many education committees. He died at his Winnipeg residence, 2511 Assiniboine Crescent, on 2 April 1966 and was buried in St. John's Cemetery.
