Born in East York, graduated from East York Collegiate at the age of 16. She started working for Crown Life, and soon became secretary to the Vice President of Personal. After marriage, she moved to her new home in Scarborough and began her family. In 1975, Barbara moved with her husband and children to England. Upon returning to Canada in 1978, the family lived in Markham, and then later in Pickering. She was a life time member of her sorority, Beta Sigma Phi, and a longtime member of "The Gourmet Club." Barbara was a supportive and loving wife and mother. She cared deeply for her family and was always there for them. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. A Visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, from 9-11 a.m. at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Rd., Ajax, L1T 2Z7 (905 428-8488), with the Service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Online condolences may be made at: www.mceachniefuneral.ca In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or Diabetes Canada.2
