She was predeceased by her husband John in 1973.
Mildred will be remembered as an all-around lovely person who was loyal and non-judgmental. She was an inspiration to her granddaughters and known as GG or Double G to her great-grandchildren. She will be forever loved.
Mildred is survived by her loving daughter, Carole Boyd at home; and son, Warren Mabie and his wife, Jill of Livingston, MT; granddaughters: Renee Wilson of Middletown and Annette Wyss and her husband, Herman of Eldred, NY and their children, Nicholas, Kasey and Andrew; and a cousin, Herbert C. Bowman of Goshen.
In addition to her husband, Mildred was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy, and her husband, Fred "Chubby" Mabie (yes, sisters married brothers!).
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, December 26, 2014 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Ave, Middletown, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the funeral home, burial will follow in the family plot in Wallkill Cemetery.
Because of her love for animals, memorial contributions in Mildred's name may be made to either the ASPCA or the Humane Society of Middletown, Bloomingburg Road, Middletown, NY 10940.6
