Although the pain from his affliction was severe, he bore up under it with that calm Christian fortitude possessed by those who love their Saviour. He leaves to mourn their loss a sorrowing widow, eight children, a mother, five sisters and two brothers. The children are: Mrs. Laura Nickerson, Winterhill, Mass; Mrs. W. H. Villett, Winnipeg, Man; Mrs. C. B. Jelly, Summerside; Miss Ruby, Winnipeg; Miss May, at home; Arthur W. and Herbert H., Brockton, Mass; and Harold A., overseas. The funeral which was very largely attended was held Saturday and conducted by the pastor, Rev. P. A. Fitzpatrick, assisted by Rev. Wm. D'Athe, interment being made at the People's Cemetery, Crapaud.
