A crocheted cap of a leaf design was fastened to the veil with rhinestones. The gown was made by the bride's mother. Miss Evelyn Strobeck, Johnstown, cousin of the bride was maid of honor. She wore a ballerina length dress of coral pink taffeta with a matching veil and headpiece. She carried a cascade of yellow pompons. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Leland Mabie, South Valley, sister-in-law of the bride, and Miss Marilyn Elliott, South Valley. Mrs. Mabie wore an orchid ballerina length dress with matching veil and headpiece and Miss Elliott wore a rose-pink ballerina length dress with matching veil and headpiece. Both carried cascades of orchid pompons. Flower girl was Miss Wendy Brigham, South Valley, who wore a rose-pink party dress with matching veil and headpiece and carried a basket of pink and white mums. John Arnold, Schenevus, was the best man. Ring bearer was Master Gerald Mabie, South Valley. Ushers were Leland and Gerald Mabie, South Valley, Deane Perry and Gerald French, both of Schenevus. A reception for 100 guests was held in the church parlors, which were decorated with baskets of pompons. The bride's table featured a four-tiered wedding cake. Following a trip to Niagara Falls and Canada, the newlyweds will live in an apartment at the French farm. The bride graduated from Cherry Valley Central School and Albany Business College, where she was a member of the Alpha Iota Honor Society. She is employed at the Second National Bank, Schenevus. .The bridegroom graduated from Andrew L. Draper School in Schenevus and the Agricultural and Technical College, Cobleskill.
