She was also a nursing home compliance consultant and later owned her own fashion business.
Ann was a loving supportive wife of 63 years, a proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, competitive bridge player, loved her church and many, many friends.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents and two infant brothers; her sister, Sharon Oliver (John); brother Earl B. VanDyke (Lois); and two sons, Robert Alan Marshall and Johnny Hunt Marshall.
Ann is survived by her husband, Earl Hunt Marshall; son, Joel Van Marshall (Tricia); brother, Robert Hinton "Bob" VanDyke (Nelle); eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Ann will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 12 Noon, in the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Dan Camp and Rev. Paul Clayton officiating. Interment will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, one hour prior to the funeral at 12 p.m.
Active Pallbearers to serve will be Adam Marshall, Drew Allan, Bude VanDyke, Paul Eubanks, Freddy Teague, Don Edwards, Hinton Climer, and Wayne Climer.
Honorary Pallbearers to serve will be the Wesleyan Fellowship Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials in Ann's memory be directed to First United Methodist Church, 200 S Church St., Jackson, TN 38301.2
