oObit*15 September 2022  On 15 September 2022 at Evansville, Indiana, the obituary of Mary Catherine Mabee read: Mary Catherine (Mabee) Weber, age 82, of Newburgh, IN, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Heart to Heart Hospice Center. Catherine was born May 29, 1940, in Chattanooga, TN, to Erskine and Margaret (Patterson) Mabee. She graduated from Red Bank High School in 1958. Catherine enjoyed traveling and worked as a Flight Attendant for Eastern Airlines before she was married. She loved being a Homemaker and raising her three children. After they were grown, she worked in a variety of roles at St. Mary's Hospital. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. Catherine is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Maurice Weber; children, Anna Byars (Kelly), Scott Weber (Viola), and Maureen Stevens (Glenn), siblings, Carolyn Wheeler, Erskine Mabee (Ann), Richard Mabee (Shirley), and Elaine Mabee (Corey Crane); grandchildren, Ryan Stevens, Neal Stevens, Erin Stevens, Maggie Byars, Jack Byars, and Caitie Byars; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Catherine is preceded in death by her parents, Erskine and Margaret Mabee; sister, Margaret "Peggy" Cottam; and brother-in-law, Kirk Wheeler. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 17, 2022, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Road, Newburgh, with Father Dusty Burns officiating. Entombment will be in St. John the Baptist Catholic Mausoleum. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Saturday, September 17, 2022, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
